Day wise Itinerary.
Day 1: Guwahati arrival
Arrive at Guwahati airport/railway station you will be received and greet by our company representative. After refreshment visit Shankardeva Kalakshetra – a cultural centre with a fine exposition of the life and culture of the people of Assam. Then visit Balaji Temple. O/N at Guwahati.
Day 2: Guwahati to Bomdila
oday morning proceed to Bomdila (352km, approx) – the headquarter of west Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh and also known for its Buddhist monasteries. It has a lot of attractions for the visitors for its cool climate. On arrival Bomdila, check in at hotel. Evening free for leisure. O/N at Bomdila.
Day 3: Bomdila to Tawang
This morning check out from hotel & visit Bomdila Monastery & proceed to Tawang (180km) – the land of Monpa Tribes & major centre of the Mahayana Buddhists. On the way to Tawang lies the world's second highest pass – The Sela Pass (13,700ft) which run through a small ridge & along a lake called Paradise Lake. And visit Jaswantgarh, a memorial to the brave soldier who single tried to hold of approaching Chinese from the pass during the 1962 Indo-Chinese war. On arrival check in hotel. O/N at Tawang.
Day 4: Tawang sightseeing
In the morning go for sightseeing in and around Tawang. Visit the Penga Ten TSO Lake (P.T.S.O.), War Memorial and Tawang Monastery. The Monastery is 400 year old and adorned with the 18 ft. High statue of Lord Buddha. 'The Land of Dawn-lit Mountain' at 3500m gives you unparallel purity of nature. O/N at Tawang.
Day 5: Tawang to Bomdila
Morning drive to Bomdila. On the way enjoy the beauty and majesty of Jung Water Fall and visit Kiwi Garden and Dirang Valley. O/N at Bomdila.
Day 6: Bomdila to Kaziranga
Today drive to Kaziranga National Park (250km, approx) - is inhabited by the world's largest population of one - horned rhinoceroses, In 1985, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its unique natural environment. Overnight at Kaziranga.
Day 7: Kaziranga - Safari Activities
Early morning elephant safari (1st ride: 05:30 am to 06: 30 am, 2nd ride: 06:30 am to 07:30 am) to the national park for wildlife viewing. After the ride return back to the hotel & have a breakfast, morning at leisure. After lunch drive to the Central range (Kohora) of the park for a jeep Safari. Rest of the day enjoy beautiful surrounding of Tea gardens.
Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Day 8: Kaziranga – Shillong
After breakfast, proceed to Shillong (Approx 288km/07 Hrs Journey).En-route visit the largest manmade lake of Northeast India - Umiam Lake. On arrival visit Don Bosco Museum. The museum exhibits a wide collection of regional artwork, attires, accoutrements, handicrafts, ornamentation, photographs and weapons. After sightseeing check in at hotel. Evening is free for leisure.
Overnight at Shillong.
Day 9: Shillong - Cherrapunjee - Shillong
After breakfast proceed for full day excursion to Cherrapunjee (65km/03 hrs approx) - known as the wettest place on the earth. En route visit the Shillong Peak, is the highest point in state of Meghalaya. Shillong Peak is a view-point where you can get breathtaking view of Shillong city, visit Famous Elephant Falls - it is a two-tier waterfall set in the dingles of the rocks. On arrival at Cherrapunjee visit Nohkalikai Falls is the tallest (fourth highest in World) plunge waterfall in India. Have a packed lunch. After lunch enjoys the thrilling experience of Mawsmai Cave, the caves are made of limestone. After sightseeing drive back to Shillong. Evening is free for shopping.
Overnight at Shillong.
Day 10: Shillong – Guwahati
After breakfast proceed to Guwahati (110km/04hrs approx). On arrival enjoy traditional Assamese lunch. After lunch visit the Umananda Temple - The temple of Umananda is located on the Peacock Island in the middle of the river Brahmaputra at Guwahati. Evening enjoy river cruise on a mighty Brahmaputra River cruise and discover the reason why the mighty river is referred to as the 'river of blood'.(Direct payment).Overnight at Guwahati.
Day 11: Departure
After breakfast, transfer to visit Kamakhya Temple, is dedicated to the mother goddess Kamakhya, one of the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas & after that drive to Guwahati Airport to your return journey as per the departure schedule. Tour ends with sweet memories.
